OFF-THE-GRID LIVING in the mountains of Catalonia. All constructed legally with
architectural planning approval over twenty years ago.
Having 15 hectares of good level and terraced land with pine forests, grass meadows
with wonderful olive and almond trees.
Also next to the house is a 60ft stable block with a bathroom, which could be
used as workshops etc. being professionally constructed by local Catalonian builders.
We never had a water shortage living there with our horses, dogs and watering the
vegetables. The main agricultural water supply is nearby though, we just didn`t need it.
For water, a 10,000litre Cisterna was built professionally where the rainwater is
stored.
The property now requires new batteries and modern solar panels to operate the solar
system. We had a small wind generator also to charge the batteries but they are worn
out now not being used for a few years.
The property is all ready to have a new solar powered system installed as it’s
completely been wired for it.
There are three different roads to the house. With having a large horse box when
living there is one of the wonders of the property having more than one way home.
